Hey there, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Brick and Mortar Visibility. How are you? So good to be here as always. Today we are going to talk about visibility and getting your brand on more eyes, which is what we all want. And we talk about this every week on the podcast. But we're going to talk about a strategy that I have, that I have been taught by my mentors and coaches and in how to stay super organized in reaching out to those collaborations. And it's called the 'Dream 100'. So you probably heard of this before. We want to get our brand in front of more people. And the easiest way to do that is to borrow other people's audience. Super smart, right? Rather than talk one on one to people, which is valid in its own way. But go and talk to a room full of people or email out to their list of people or hop on their IG live for an IG Live or do a Facebook live in their Facebook group. Those are different ways to get in front of more people.

So when we are reaching out to people to collaborate with, I want you to think of two categories. They can be people that work with your ideal clients that are totally in different industries but would work well together. For example, I'm a dance studio owner. My ideal client is a young family. Well, that young family would also go to a chiropractor or a physical therapist. So I could collaborate with those businesses. Then we have indirect competitors. So, for example, again, my studio attracts young families. An indirect competitor, not the dance studio down the road, but maybe the martial arts studio or swimming lessons or soccer. Those are indirect competitors. So I could collaborate with them or trade with them, Or not based on what you want to do. Another way to think about this is what do I not offer? So in my studio, I get a lot of requests for ballroom lessons. We don't offer ballroom lessons. So I refer a lot of people to the ballroom teacher 10 miles away. Okay? So those are people, though, I could collaborate with, all those people that I listed. So we have our indirect competitors, our like-minded business owners. So like I said, the chiropractor, the physical therapist. And then I have the people that do things that I don't do or I don't want to do. For example, the ballroom instructor. Okay?

So I am then going to make a list of all those people that I could collaborate with. So what could you do with collaboration? Like I said, I'm going to put in the show notes, the two episodes or the few episodes that I have relating to collaboration. But you could do an email swap where you say, you know what, I will send an email out talking about your services and what you do if you do the same for me. Social media, you could swap social media, Or you could do IG lives or Facebook lives. Or you could do a post on them and feature them. You could do Flyers where I come in and print out Flyers where you hand them out to your students at swimming lessons and vice versa. I'll take Flyers for you and hand them off to my students for dance lessons. Vice versa. I said that wrong. You know what I'm doing. Okay? I could speak in front of your people. Vice versa. So these are all sorts of different things. I also have a podcast, I could come on your podcast to talk about, blah, blah, blah. So there are all sorts of things you could do. All right, so I think you get the picture. All right, so we have our potential collaborators that we'll work with. So whether they're indirect, whether they're people that don't do what you do or maybe they're businesses with the same ideal client, and then we have a list of things that we could do with them, and now we have to organize this and we have to do it. And that's where people struggle. They just get overwhelmed. Okay, the list of people, what we're going to ask them for. Now I have to do it. Oh, shoot. I'm probably going to have to follow up because they're not going to answer the first time. How do I stay on top of this? And how do I make it a system in my business so that I can continually move the needle forward?

Well, my friend, I have something for you. I have a spreadsheet that's going to help you with this, and I have a strategy that's going to help you with this because there's nothing worse than getting denied over and over and over. And say, no, not right now, I can't do this or not getting an answer. Okay? We want to put our time into things that are going to work and have the energy for us to keep going with it. Okay? So if you get a few no's off the bat, you're not going to keep going. So I'm going to help you with this. And this is not a new idea. I think I've had three coaches in the past three years, three different coaches because I love them all and they've all shared the same strategy. So it's the 'Dream 100'. And it's a way to reach out to people and keep yourself accountable and action forward. So I have for you this spreadsheet that I'm going to gift you. All right. But what you're going to do is you're going to take a list of people, next to it, say 'what you want them to do', and then you're going to have one column that says 'how willing are they going to help you' on a scale of one to ten? On the next column, 'how big is their influence'? And then the next column is 'total'. Okay? So for example, I'm going to ask my bestie to help me connect me to this person. My bestie is absolutely, Yes, she would. And my bestie also has a huge influence. Like she's a realtor. Everybody knows her, so it's a huge influence. Would she help me with something? Absolutely. So she's a ten and she's an influencer, ten. So yes, that's a 20. Okay? Now I have another really good friend and let's say she's a nine, but she doesn't really have a lot of influence, but she's got some. So let's say she's a three. Well, now she's a twelve total. All right. So I am going to, based on those two numbers. First, talk to my bestie and then talk to the next person. Okay? So I gave you an example with two people, but you're going to list out everybody and put that together. Now, in this spreadsheet that I have for you, it's going to move up whoever has a higher total. So that way you are contacting, continually talking to people with a higher number. So that way you should receive more yes's and more collaborations and less follow-up. Now keep in mind, I do have 'follow-up' tabs afterwards because on average it takes seven follow-ups for people to answer. Okay? But life happens, you're going to be going, you're going to be out and about and you're like, oh, yeah, I should connect with blah, blah, blah. You're going to add so and so's name to that sheet, add their numbers in, click total, and then they are going to be added or sifted through at the right level so that you are contacting them. So now that's organized. Now the next step is for you to block out an hour every week to do it. And I'm going to say an hour. And this can be reaching out with email, voice memos, little videos, whatever it is. And you are going to just set aside 1 hour a week to propel your business forward through connections, collaborations, the ripple effect. And your business is going to grow. I bet you do this even just four weeks and you're going to see growth. Okay? So this is why 'Dream 100' is so awesome. Because collaboration is THE BEST way to grow your business, in my opinion. And grow visibility, grow brand awareness, grow your network, grow your team. It's all in those relationships, right? So this is an excellent way to uplevel your business in a short amount of time. So could you do that? Could you block out, and this could be hours where you're not 'On' like, this could be like before work starts. This could be a Saturday morning before the kids wake up where you're reaching out to people, whatever. But just 1 hour. And if you block it out in your calendar, you will have success.

So how do you get the spreadsheet? We are going to do it so simple. You are going to DM me over on Instagram, Brick and Mortar Visibility and say 'Dream 100' and I will send you the link to get it. You will be able to copy it, you will be able to add to it. For example, on my 'Dream 100', I have the sheet and then you can customize it. Like you could have a couple of pages where maybe you're reaching out to like-minded businesses, maybe you're reaching out to indirect competitors, maybe you're reaching out, maybe you have a podcast and you want podcasters so you can totally customize it. But this gives you an outline to work with. All right? And sometimes we just need that to be like, oh, okay, I get it. I got it! Let's do it. Okay? So please grab that from me, go to Instagram and look for Brick and Mortar Visibility, DM me and say 'Dream 100' and I will gift it to you right there in the DMs. Okay?

I hope this was helpful. I found this extremely helpful when I learned about it about two or three years ago now already! It just helps with the confidence to keep going because let's be real, time is limited and when we do it, we want to have results. So let's go for the most wins. Let's go for the people that are most apt to help you and get some results. So that way you have the confidence to keep going and the proof that this works so that you can then get to the people that may not be as high a number but they still are important to connect with and get your name out there. All right. Okay, let me know your takeaways, DM me, get the freebie by saying 'Dream 100' or tell me your takeaways with this episode. I hope it was helpful. Alright, guy, we'll see you here. Same time, same place, next week. We have a spectacular guest for next week. You don't want to miss it. I'm super psyched. All right. Have a great week. Peace. Bye-bye.
